Strollin' and Rollin'

On September 24th, the town of Hollis, NH will be featured as the 2011 Freedom’s
Way National Heritage Area Strollin’ & Rollin’ town. Take advantage of the beautiful September Fall days by exploring
Hollis

The Lawrence Barn (28 Depot Rd) will serve as the starting point for self-guided walking, driving, and biking tours through the historic and natural sites of this beautiful, rural town. Each year, Freedom’s Way highlights a town within the Freedom’s Way National Heritage Area, which was designated by the U.S. Congress in 2009 as being particularly important to the history of the entire Nation. Hollis will be honored this year as a town that has worked tirelessly to preserve its heritage, a town that has maintained its New England landscape of country roads and family farms, and a town that once sent their Minutemen to meet theBritish at Concord and Lexington.

This Strollin' & Rollin' Heritage Tour is made possible by the generosity of the following sponsors:

The Hollis Historical Society • Beaver Brook Association
The Hollis Heritage Commission
The Souhegan Valley Chamber of Commerce
The Marie Ledoux Foundation

Some public buildings will be open for public viewing and presentations,
but most are private residences and participants are asked to
please enjoy the tours only from the public way.
