Paths of the Patriots
We will certainly never identify all the paths the Patriots took. Below you will find some of the places that echo with their footprints. See Paths of Patriots for more information.

Venue Description  
Prescott Marker, Magazine, Powder House
Elm Street on the Common

Marker for where Col. William Prescott and son Benjamin Prescott were born. The Magazine was used during the Revolution and was possibly called the Prescott Magazine. It is on Powder House Road where the Lawrence Academy is currently located. The House is on a walking tour of Historic Groton Center. There is also a memorial to Colonel William Prescott.  

First Parish Church
Powder House Road

101 men assembled here to march to Concord for the battle.  

Shattuck Marker
573 Longley Road

Marker, on the right near Wattle's Pond, commemorating Job Shattuck, who was also a member of Shays' Rebellion in 1786.

 

The Old Burying Ground
Hollis Street

On the left side about 1/4 mile from Main Street is where the Revolutionary Patriots are buried.
